Tabay Atkins

Biography

He lives by the daily mantra: “Think good thoughts. Speak kind words. Feel love, be love, and give love.” And, people (both young and old) love him right back.

At 14, Tabay Atkins is the youngest certified yoga teacher in America. He has been seen on ABC World News, Good Morning America, 60 Seconds Docs, The Harry Connick Jr. Show, The Doctors, and Yoga Journal- to name a few. And, in 2018, he taught at Deepak Chopra’s Meditation and yoga retreat.

His incredible journey began at the age of six when his mom, Sahel Anvarinejad, was battling non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma cancer. Yoga was an integral part of her healing after chemotherapy and Tabay was by her side when she completed her 200 hour Vinyasa teacher. Witnessing the power of yoga sparked his immediate interest and he knew he had found his purpose: to share the gift of yoga with the world!

He received his first certificate at age seven and his 200 hour Vinyasa certificate at age 10.  He now has seven certificates: 200 Hour Vinyasa, Yoga Education for Autism Spectrum, Circus Yoga Ring One and Circus Yoga Ring Two, Ween/Teen Yoga, Restorative Yoga, and Airlift Aerial Yoga.

After he began practicing yoga, he “understood the importance of balanced, healthy, mindful life, with the practice of Ayurveda and veganism.”  He became a vegan at the age of 11 and decided he wanted to become a vegan chef (like his Mom) to share his love of vegan food with the world. His love of healthful eating pairs nicely with his recent deal with Kashi by Kids!
