Sarita Lou is a choreographer and dance advocate.
As a choreographer her work has been shown at The Bushwick Starr, Judson Memorial Church, Dixon Place, Playwrights Horizons, The Mint and Manhattan Movement and Arts Center amongst others.
Sarita was the 2013 Artist in Residence with the Harold Clurman Center for New Works in Movement and Dance Theater. She holds a BA from UCLA’s World Arts & Cultures Program and is currently on movement faculty at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting.
As a dance advocate Sarita’s mission is to “Inspire the world to move.” With this in mind she created the original arts web series For the Love of Dance documenting diverse dances around New York City.
Sarita is also an acclaimed yoga teacher and sought-after voice in the world of health and fitness. She recently published an article called “Yoga for Dancing” inYoga Journal and was interviewed by Mantra Magazine on healthy lifestyle tips.
